Motobsession.

I live motorcycling, I breathe motorcycling, motorcycling runs through my veins all day and all night. My friends are all motorcyclists, my girlfriend is a motorcyclist and I'm usually around other motorcyclists fairly often. You'd think I would get tired of it, but no- It's a passion, one which I love with all my heart and soul. Every single month I buy a good three to eight motorcycling magazines and read through them thoroughly. I check for new issues regularly and get all giddy when I see a fresh one appear at my local newsstand. I spend any idle time I have watching motorcycle videos online- everything from reviews to rides (I've done some myself), to people inadvertently injuring themselves for the entertainment of millions. I read blogs, I browse websites and I keep my sights focused on two wheels.

I've mentored thousands of people over the internet, answering their motorcycle related questions and giving them advice on how you can not only be a motorcyclist, but possibly live to tell about it. I've created beginner guides, enormous posts, topics, conversations, threads, groups, picture galleries, websites, videos, blogs and more. I do it because I love motorcycling and I enjoy sharing my passion with others. As I said, I live it and I breathe it.

In the about me section I tried to convince you all that there's more to a motorcyclist's life than motorcycling and that's quite honestly true, but some of us are very passionate about what we do no matter what that may be in life. I'm one of those people or I obviously wouldn't be blogging about this right now.

Some people might think that's not healthy. You've seen it before yourself, some friend or family member is too focused on one thing so other people in their life try to get them involved in other activities. They end up trying new things, failing miserably at them only wanting to go back to what it is they do. I myself like a lot more than just motorcycling and as I've explained before it's actually my second passion in life. There are other things I fancy, but motorcycles are what keep me entertained. So is it wrong? I don't think so. Let them do what it is they enjoy and they themselves will be a better person.

I think if anyone has a passion for something- no matter what it is, if they take it seriously enough they should embrace whatever it may be. You should do other things in life, sure, but if it's your primary source of interest and entertainment then live it and love it. It's such things that keep many people happy throughout the day, keeps their thoughts positive and their spirit focused on the days to come. For example, a passionate motorcyclist is always looking for a new and better bike. It doesn't mean we aren't satisfied with what we've got, but ultimately we would want a small collection at that, and don't forget about accessorizing! We're always looking at new gear to buy and new routes to ride. Of course, you have to limit yourself so you don't go bankrupt, but there are things we look forward to some day. Many people do not have such things.

Who knows? Some times these passions actually lead to profits as well. Again, I'm working on something else at the moment that I hope to use as a way of passage in life, but should it not come to fruition I want more than anything to be some how involved in motorcycles. Of course I love writing, so that would be ideal, but just about anything in the industry would make me happy. You only live once and as Mark Twain once said, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

Not to mention, a lot of people think motorcyclists are loners but that couldn't be further from the truth. We are probably one of the strongest communities in the world. When we see each other we nod, we wave, we talk and laugh with one another. It brings us together, we make new friends, we ride together and we share our passion.

Obsession? If you want to call it that, go ahead, but whatever it is I'm proud of it and lucky to have such a thing in my life. All of us are, each time we twist the throttle.
