Who I am & What this is.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Who am I and what is this blog exactly? Glad you asked (you probably didn't) so let me explain.

I am a twenty three year old male residing in San Diego, California. I am also a motorcyclist (surprise!) Not only am I a motorcyclist but I lack an automobile, meaning where I go has to be on two wheels. I ride year round, come rain or shine, in cold and heat, from dusk till dawn and death do us part. Now, this is where things get really interesting... You see, not only am I a motorcyclist, but I am also a human (most people really have no clue.) To the general public if you own a motorcycle you're either some young hooligan with a death wish and a "crotch rocket," some delinquent youth with a dirt bike, or a hog with a Harley. What the sheeple don't realize is that out there-- beyond these sects, is a group of individuals who simply ride. They ride because they enjoy it. They ride to get to where they're going. Riding is part of their life but even so, there's another life they live and that's one of a human.

I'm here to give people an inside perspective at what's going on under the visor, beneath the jacket and behind the bars of a Modern Motorcyclist.

As you can see this blog is very simple, and I like that for several reasons. First of all, I'm terrible at web design and any time I ask anyone for help they come through about as often as a politician's promise. Because of this I'm stuck with something basic, but you know what? That's alright, because secondly, I think a basic and minimalist design allows you to navigate easier and focus on the actual content. To me, reading a well wrought book will always be more fulfilling than watching the latest Micheal Bay movie, so I hope you aren't in it for the special effects.

Within this blog I shall post rants, raves and rides. I shall post information that will be both useful, informative and occasionally entertaining. Not only that, but I'll try to do such with some not so common sense, pretty pictures, fun to watch videos and humor that will keep you up all night-- wondering exactly how they get cream in cream filled doughnuts.

So enough about the blog, more about me, who I is and what it do.

I've been motorcycling since I was just a pup, having started out on a tiny little dirt bike. Since then I've ridden everything from touring bikes to harleys, sport bikes to scooters, dirt bikes to v-rods and many things in between. I've ridden up mountains high, across the longest stretches of interstate, down trails and through the hustle and bustle that is southern California rush hour. Needless to say, I have some stories to tell which brings me to my next point.

You see, motorcycling is only my second passion in life, my first is writing (surprise!) Ever since I was young I had a huge imagination and loved telling stories. After spending so much time on the internet I became very quick at typing which only aided me in such obsessions. I love explaining things, I love telling tales and-- from time to time, I enjoy helping people out.

In fact, for the past year or so I've been mentoring people online, teaching them how to become safe, efficient, skilled and proficient motorcyclists by the thousands. Eventually I began to get some notoriety from doing such and it only grew. I did it free of charge as a hobby more than anything and really enjoyed it, but of course any time anyone gets notoriety there will be haters to hate (especially on the internet) and the particular site I frequent is notorious for such. Because of this, I've been harassed, criticized, ostracized and damn near circumcised for getting attention from my helpfulness. I ignored it for the most part as I continued to help people out and discuss things of motorcycle relation but some people are beginning to rip off my information and what I do, and when I say anything about it more rage filled hate flies my way. Gotta love the internet-- a place void of logic where you have but one right, the right to "GTFO" if you don't like something.

Oh well, it's time for me to sail past new horizons and start some new projects. I hope some day to become a writer for an actual motorcycling magazine, but until that day shall come this blog should suffice.

I'm an odd person alright, I will admit. I'm a dreamer with a passion, a drifter with a story and a person with some what of a mind. So, before I go on rambling more details that you could care less about (my favorite food is Coffee and my favorite band is Shpongle), I'll end this here so you can enjoy the blog.

Happy trails to you my friends.
